Recently, Kia Automobile Group announced that it has reached cooperation with her technologies, a service provider of map and positioning platform. The two sides will establish a global alliance to carry out in-depth cooperation on high-precision map and positioning services. It is reported that the two parties signing the agreement are here technologies and mnsoft, a subsidiary of Hyundai, which is specialized in providing map technology services for Hyundai and automobile in vehicle infotainment system. As early as 2005, here technologies began to provide global map data for Hyundai and Kia's vehicles. The two sides said that this in-depth cooperation will further explore the commercial landing and technology of high-precision maps. Edzard Overbeek, CEO of here technologies, said the two sides will jointly use internal resources to further promote high-precision maps to South Korea and even the world. Hyundai said the cooperation will improve the standard of high-precision maps and expand the scope of cooperation. For automobiles, such high-precision maps will play an important role. HERE Technologies is willing to cooperate with key technology suppliers and cross industry companies in order to build the data infrastructure needed for the construction of automatic driving vehicles. Korean LG electronics, mobile mobile software technology company Renovo, automatic driving enterprise Mobileye and Internet Co Tencent are partners of HERE Technologies company.
