According to foreign media reports, cohda, an Australian R & D company of intelligent Internet connection vehicle technology, has entered the Chinese market, and its c-v2x (cellular vehicle connection) software system conforms to the communication standards and specifications of the Chinese market. C-v2x is the general term of a series of on-board communication technologies, which realizes the direct communication between vehicles (V2V), such as early warning; vehicle pedestrian communication (V2P), to ensure the safety of pedestrians; vehicle road infrastructure communication (V2I), such as traffic lights, traffic signs, parking positions, etc.; and vehicle communication with the cloud through mobile network (v2n). Through the above communication, we can achieve a safer and more convenient intelligent transportation world. As early as February 2018, cohda established a branch in Shanghai, China. The company recently released mk6c evaluation suite, which is equipped with 9150 c-v2x platform chipset provided by Qualcomm. At present, cohda has begun to test the c-v2x technology related to mk6c, and has promoted the evaluation of the new intelligent Internet connected vehicle ecosystem based on cellular network. After passing 5g certification, cohda's software and hardware products can pass more than 60% of v2x field tests worldwide, and the above products also meet the standards issued by the American and European Telecommunications Standards Association. In the future, cohda will also provide a variety of services to the Chinese market. At present, c-v2x technology has been greatly supported by car companies including,,, and other companies, as well as Qualcomm, Ericsson and other communication companies, who all regard China as one of the markets with great development potential. In June 2019, the Ministry of industry and information technology and the National Standards Commission jointly issued a series of documents entitled "guidelines for the construction of national standards system for the Internet of vehicles industry", which took a great step forward in promoting the development of c-v2x. Cohda said that the mk6c evaluation suite will open the door for the company to enter the Chinese market. How to apply the mk6c to the intelligent Internet connected vehicle technology in the Chinese market is a top priority for the company.
