A few days ago, the foundation ceremony of the East China (Dongying) intelligent Internet vehicle test field jointly initiated by China and Sailun group was officially held in Shandong Province. With a total investment of 2.8 billion yuan and a phase I investment of more than 1.5 billion yuan, the test site is planned to be built into a world-class standard intelligent networked vehicle test platform. In September 2018, FAW and Sailun Group signed a cooperation agreement on the project of jointly building an intelligent Internet vehicle test field. According to the agreement, FAW takes the way of capital increase to acquire 85% of the equity of Saiya testing company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sailun. After the capital increase, Saiya testing will be renamed as East China intelligent network automobile test field Co., Ltd. The construction of the test site is led by FAW and assisted by the race wheel. From the perspective of cooperation theme, it can not only meet the common needs of both sides for the test of modern intelligent Internet connected vehicles, but also improve the R & D and testing service capabilities of Sailun group in terms of tires. At the same time, FAW also promises to cooperate with Sailun group in relevant business areas. It is reported that under the joint leadership of FAW and Sailun group, the integration of communication companies, Internet enterprises and infrastructure construction units has been realized. The test site is positioned as an expandable ecological test site built for smart city and smart transportation based on multiple cooperation, open sharing and intelligent Internet vehicle technology. The test field can cover typical test scenarios and comprehensive performance test facilities of intelligent network connected vehicles, carry out virtual and real vehicle in the loop test, support research and development test of 5g vehicle road collaborative technology, etc. At the same time, with the East China test site as the core, FAW, Sailun group and other partners will carry out in-depth cooperation, gradually establish an industrial chain covering automobile research and development, manufacturing, sales and service, and attract the aggregation of automobile and supporting enterprises.
