Recently, Nidec has added two new products to its series of electric vehicle traction motors, one is 200kW traction motor for medium and large electric vehicles, the other is 50KW traction motor for micro and small electric vehicles. Both products are developed on the basis of 150KW "three in one" electric drive system integrating motor, reducer and inverter. Compared with the current 150KW electric drive system, the new 200kW electric drive system optimizes the motor and reducer, and retains the advantages of compact structure and light weight. Power increased by 30%, weight increased by 95 kg, only increased by 9%. In the future, it will be applied to models in China and Europe, and aion s and aion LX models will take the lead. The 50KW electric drive system is aimed at micro / small electric vehicles sold in the Japanese market and electric vehicles in the sub market. The change is that the reducer in the motor is changed from the original three-axis to one axis, and the volume is further reduced. According to Nippon Power Corporation, the mass production of 200kW and 50KW traction motors will start in 2023 and 2022 respectively. By 2025, the cumulative order of its "three in one" electric drive system is expected to exceed 10 million units. It is also planned to invest about 200 billion yen (about 12.7 billion yuan) in the R & D and production of electric vehicle power assembly, and expand the capacity of electric vehicle power assembly.
