According to foreign media reports, HBM, a German company, has cooperated with Kyowa electronic instruments, a Japanese company, to develop a new micro sensor P60 series, which can be used to measure the pressure of automobile gearbox, coolant circuit, hydraulic system and external components of internal combustion engine. (image source: HBM) P60 series is lightweight and can measure pressures in the range of 20, 50, 100 and 200 bar, so it is particularly suitable for the automotive, transportation, logistics and aerospace industries. The compact sensor is only 0.63 inch in diameter, 1.38 inch long, and 0.71 ounce without cable, so it's easy to install. In addition, the sensor can work between minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 4.44 degrees Celsius) and 302 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius), with an accuracy class of 0.3, which is particularly suitable for measuring pressure in the development and application of the latest strain measurement technology, or in the monitoring of safety and dynamic behavior. The P60 series has six threaded connectors for a wide variety of applications, as well as flexible, 0.12-inch-diameter leads that work in the narrowest space. In addition, the sensor has 150% overload stability and a low tightening torque of 13.3 lb / ft to 14.8 lb / ft. Stefan Kruse, HBM product manager, explained: "the sensor measures pressures in a range of up to 200 bar and is compact in design and suitable for many mobile hydraulic applications, such as measuring vehicle or hydraulic clutch pressures. In addition, the working temperature range of the sensor is very wide, so it can measure the pressure of the water cooling system of the automobile engine. "
