According to foreign media reports, Infineon Technologies will launch the automobile micro controller aurix Gamma Tc3a series of new products can be used in new 77 GHz automotive radar applications, such as ADAS and high-end corner radar system. The product includes new signal processing unit, large SRAM memory for radar and four TRICORE operating at 300 MHz Gamma Processor. Its fast Fourier transform (FFT) processing delay is reduced and the ability to reduce interference is enhanced. In addition, its different modulation schemes allow first-line customers to improve radar resolution at a lower cost. According to Ritesh Tyagi, head of innovation center in Silicon Valley of Infineon, "ADAS is more and more used in current cars, and will eventually realize automatic driving. Future cars will be equipped with more radar devices to accurately perceive the surrounding environment. Tc3a will enable Infineon to work with start-ups, industry leaders and technology giants to accelerate the innovation of radar system. " Infineon's TC39, TC35 and TC33 aurax devices have provided a set of microcontrollers for long-range, medium range and short-range radar applications. Each device has its own specific functions, which enable customers to meet different needs by using microcontrollers optimized for performance and cost.
