According to foreign media reports, Iveco, FPT industrial and Nikola have released the prototype of Nikola tre truck, the first car jointly produced by CNH industrial and Nikolai, the subsidiaries of Fiat. Nikola tre, a pure electric truck, is based on the Iveco s-way model and integrates Nikolai's technology. The first products will be put on the market in 2021. The integration work was carried out by Nikolai and Italdesign. Nikola tre is the first step in Nikola's plan to launch a car in 2023. The Nikola tre 4x2 tractor prototype shown has a maximum range of 400 km, and its dynamic performance is equal to or even better than similar diesel vehicles. The car will be equipped with a modular system with a total capacity of 720 kwh, which can be customized according to customer needs. The electric drive system can continuously provide 480 kW output power with peak torque of 1800 n · M. The Nikola tre model also has two axle and three axle rigid versions, with a total vehicle weight ranging from 18 tons to 26 tons. Nikola tre's new infotainment system is based on Nikola's proprietary operating system, which integrates infotainment and navigation functions. It can control most vehicle functions, such as microclimate control, image adjustment, lifting suspension height, 360 degree camera system, navigation, Bluetooth audio system, as well as comprehensive vehicle settings and vehicle diagnosis management. The car uses Bluetooth low-energy technology to establish a secure connection between customers' vehicles and mobile devices, creating a real hands-free media experience. When the driver is close to the vehicle, it can be unlocked through the intelligent keyless entry system. The system can even adjust the suspension height and cabin temperature according to the driver's preference. Iveco, FPT and Nikolai adopt modular approach to develop electric products for the European market. Take Nikolai's as the starting point of electric battery design, and then transform the research and development technology of Nikola tre pure electric vehicle into fuel cell technology. They will put these two technologies into use and strive to add Bev and FCEV to the product line in the next few years.
