From October 22 to 24, 2019, the annual meeting and exhibition of China Society of Automotive Engineering (2019saecce) with the theme of "automobile plus, collaborative innovation" opened in Shanghai as scheduled. Sohu Auto's original news account [auto Cafe] has a dialogue with several industry experts and leaders of auto enterprises to discuss the policies, technologies and trend of auto market in the current environment. The following is the interview record of Qu Shaofei, director of hestep R & D center: Qu Shaofei, director of hestep R & D center, is a multinational group specializing in the design, development and manufacturing of automobile metal components for major global automobile manufacturers. Hestep develops products with innovative designs to produce safer and lighter vehicles, ultimately improving energy consumption and reducing environmental impact. Our product range covers body in white, chassis and mechanism parts. Our business covers 22 countries, with more than 100 production plants and more than 43000 employees around the world. Gestamp is committed to introducing the latest technology into the Chinese auto market to produce safer and lighter cars. In fact, we have maintained in-depth cooperation with many customers, including domestic brands focusing on electric vehicles. As a global leader in hot stamping technology, gestamp is able to provide the latest hot stamping technology to reduce vehicle weight and increase safety. The leading position in the field of hot stamping technology enables haistanpu to provide lightweight high-strength body structure to help automobile manufacturers achieve emission reduction goals. The company's R & D work focuses on manufacturing lighter parts, reducing emissions of traditional internal combustion engine vehicles (ice) and improving the autonomy of electric vehicles (EV). At the annual meeting and exhibition of China Society of Automotive Engineering (2019saece), hestep demonstrated the hot stamping technology which is in the leading position in the world and has more than 90 production lines. These latest innovative technologies are mainly used in BIW, chassis and electric vehicle related products, enabling hestep to reduce the weight of metal parts to improve vehicle safety. In the field of BIW products, for example, soft zone B-pillar adopts different technologies including the most advanced hot stamping technology to increase its strength; in the field of chassis parts, gestamp provides aluminum products and variable solutions for different customers. In the field of electric vehicles, gestamp adopts a dual approach in the electric vehicle market, focusing on lightweight and safety solutions to increase the autonomy of electric vehicles and launch new products. In addition, hestep also demonstrated the ability of independent research and development of battery box with multiple solutions. In order to protect the battery safety, the box must be lightweight to avoid increasing the vehicle weight. Battery box is not only a potential outsourcing market of the main engine plant, but also an important part of the electric vehicle. It needs lightweight materials such as aluminum and new assembly technology to improve the safety requirements in case of collision.
