(photo source: TomTom) according to foreign media reports, on October 17 local time, tomtom (tom2), a positioning technology expert, announced an agreement with chargehub, a company that provides public electric vehicle charging station aggregation and digital platform. Chargehub will enable TomTom to access one of the largest public databases in North America, bringing the total number of charging stations integrated into TomTom's map to more than 300000. "By integrating chargehub's EV data into TomTom's maps and ev services, tomtom can help drivers quickly and easily search and navigate to charging stations, thereby saving time, reducing endurance anxiety, removing barriers to the popularity of electric vehicles, and achieving a world without emissions," said Antoine Saucier, managing director of TomTom's automotive division "By working with tomtom, we believe that we can provide more customers with the most complete and accurate charging information, improve the visibility of electric vehicle infrastructure, and help accelerate the transition to electric travel," said Simon Ouellette, co-founder and President of chargehub Tomtom's maps and electric vehicle services cover the world and can provide useful information in real time to help drivers easily find charging stations. On the same day, tomtom also announced to cooperate with Sumitomo Electric industries, Ltd., a Japanese company, to make full use of Sumitomo Electric's expertise in intelligent transportation system, as well as TomTom's high-precision real-time traffic data and high-precision maps. The two companies will work together to create travel solutions and improve road safety and traffic congestion.
